WHAT IS PARENT TO PARENT? Parent to Parent is a locally presented workshop which gives you, as a parent, the knowledge and skills necessary to help your child achieve a drug free passage into adulthood. Parent to Parent may well be the most valuable time you will ever spend in helping your child become a dully functioning adult. While the school, the church, the government, the police, the courts, the media and much of society is dedicated to ending the drug epidemic, the stark fact is that the family ultimately bears the cost, the pain, and the responsibility for a drug using child. In reality, America's fight against drugs is being won and lost daily in the homes of young people and by their parents. Parent
to Parent is a dynamic, video based workshop to help young people avoid
drug problems by training their parents. Parent to Parent produces the
single most effective weapon in the fight against drugs, an effectively
trained mother or father.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND PARENT TO PARENT?
This powerful workshop is for people who care about kids. Any parent, teacher, counselor, or coach will benefit tremendously from the experience. It is a must for parents of children younger than sixteen years old the younger the better.
Three types of parents will especially benefit from the workshop:
Parents
who do not know about the problems caused when kids, drugs and alcohol mix.
These parents will learn the importance of their role in the child's decision
to say "No" to drugs.
Parents
who know about the problems but do not know what they can do to prevent them.
They will learn specific skills and actions they can take as well as develop
a plan of action for their family.
Parents
who know the problems and are working to prevent them. They will refine their
skills, increase their confidence and renew their commitment to a drug free
passage for their child.
